Bhubaneswar: The iconic Kalinga Ratha is back. The Station Wagon used by legendary Biju Patnaik is all set to return to the road very soon. VK Pandian, Chairman, 5T and Nabin Odisha, shared a video of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik standing besides the historic Station Wagon in Naveen Niwas. The vehicle is also fondly known as Kalinga Ratha. In the video, Naveen says “This is the station wagon which was used by Biju Babu for his election campaigns. It is treated by the party (Biju Janata Dal) and the people as a legendary vehicle”. Kalinga Ratha is the famous car that Biju Patnaik used to ride during his heyday in politics. It was a 1958 model Station Wagon used by Biju Babu during his campaigning days. It was in action with Biju Babu for over three decades and shares many memories. The video of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with the Kalinga Ratha is making rounds in the social media ever since the 5T Chairman shared that on Instagram. The iconic Kalinga Ratha has become road worthy once again after almost three decades thanks to the nostalgic Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who sent the heritage vehicle to Mumbai for restoration and renovation with all modern amenities.
