Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police on Wednesday reviewed the security arrangements for the proposed two-day visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to the State on 21 March. DGP Abhay today reviewed security arrangements in connection with proposed visit of President to Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Puri through Video Conference, a release by State police headquarters said.
Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order), Director Intelligence, Commissioner of Police Bhubaneswar- Cuttack, Joint Director, Intelligence Bureau, IGP WR, Rourkela, DIGP Central Range, Cuttack, SPs of Rourkela, Puri, Jharsuguda and DCP Bhubaneswar attended the video conference. Officials of Bhubaneswar Airport Authority and CISF also attended the meeting.
A thorough review of security arrangements at all visit locations in Rourkela and Puri as well as at Airports of Bhubaneswar and Jharsugudaand Raj Bhawan, Bhubaneswar was discussed. DGP emphasised on strict access control and antisabotage check and thorough security arrangements with adherence to all Covid protocols, it said.
