Bhubaneswar : As many as 602 more people including 96 in below 18 age group were tested covid -19 positive in
Odisha during the last 24 hours taking the total number of people infected by Corona virus to 10,26,476.
State Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the 602 new Coronavirus cases while 353 were from quarantine centres 249 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported the highest number of 283 new covid positive cases, in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 54, Mayurbhanja 31, Jaipur 24, Balasore and Puri 21 each.
The state reported six new fatalities during the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 8198.
While Kendrapara and Khordha reported two fatalities each Anugul and Jagatsinghpur reported one death each.
The state has now 5642 active cases.
