Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 453 new Covid 19 positive cases including 53 in the age of 0 to 18 and three fatalities during the last 24 hrs.
With the report of new cases the total covid positive cases in the state surged to 10,28, 819. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 4935.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the total 453 new cases while 265 cases were reported from quarantine centres 185 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 201 new covid cases , the highest in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 59 , Jagatsinghpur 24 and Mayurbhanja 22.
The total fatalities due to covid in the state climbed up to 8223 with the report of three new deaths in the last 24 hours.
While two deaths were reported from Ganjam one was reported from Khordha.
The total recoveries from the infection rose to 10,15, 608 with the recovery of 590 Covid patients during the last 24 hours.
