Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 407 new Covid 19 positive cases, including those of 74 children below the age of 18, and six fatalities during the last 24 hrs.
With the report of new cases the total covid positive cases in the state surged to 10,28,366. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 5075.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the total 407 new cases while 238 cases were reported from quarantine centres 169 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 167 new covid cases , the highest in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 63 and Mayurbhanja 26.
The total fatalities due to covid in the state climbed up to 8220 with the report of six new deaths in the last 24 hours.
While five deaths have been reported from Khordha including four from Bhubaneswar , Cuttack reported one death.
The total recoveries from the infection rose to 10,15,018 with the recovery of 606 Covid patients during the last 24 hours.
