PM Modi to launch 75 projects in Lucknow tomorrow

Lucknow : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a three day Amrit Mahotsav programme of independence here on Tuesday.

During the programme organized to commemorate the 75th year of independence, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 75 projects at a total cost of Rs 4737 crore.

The progammee will be held at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan in Gomti Nagar area.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh, UP governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath along with union urban development minister Hardeep Singh Puri will be present at the function.

According to officials here on Monday, PM will reach Lucknow at around 11 am and will stay at the function venue for around 2 hours.

During the programme, Modi will interact with five PMAY-Urban beneficiaries and under the Smart City Mission, he will release a table book of 75 successful projects of 10 smart cities of Uttar Pradesh.

On this occasion, 15 development projects worth Rs 1537.02 crores will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and the foundation stone of 30 development projects to be built at a cost of Rs 1256.22 crores will be laid.

This information was given by the state cabinet minister Ashutosh Tandon in a press conference here.

He said that under the Prime Minister’s AMRUT Mission, 17 drinking water projects at a cost of Rs 502.24 crores would be inaugurated and the foundation of 13 projects to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1441.70 crores would be laid.

Apart from this, the operation of 75 electric buses would be flagged off in different cities of the state.

State minister Ashutosh Tandon said, the Prime Minister will also hand over keys through digital medium to 75,000 beneficiaries of 75 districts of PMAY-Urban. He informed that 75 housing technologies on the theme of New Urban India will be showcased during this event. Presentation of physical model, exhibition of virtual cycle tours etc will also take place.
