Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 488 new Covid positive cases including 77 in the age group of 0 to 18 during the past 24 hours taking the tally in the state to 10,41,457.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said of the 488 new cases detected in the state while 285 were from the quarantine centres, 203 were local contact cases.
Khordha district recorded the highest number of 250 cases, followed by Cuttack 54 and Mayurbhanj 19.
Official sources said four more covid deaths were reported , from three districts taking the total fatalities in the state to 8333 during the past 24 hours.
While Khordha reported two deaths, Puri and Mayurbhanja reported one death each.With 490 covid patients recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours the total recoveries in the state went up to 10,28,607.
The active cases in the state stood at 4374 .
