Hamirpur : The Ayush department has started a three-day campaign in Hamirpur district on the occasion of Dhanwantri Day, wherein Swarna Jayanti Ayush Arogya Health Camps will be organised.
The District Ayurvedic Officer Dr Sarita Rana said this year Dhanvantari Diwas would be celebrated on November 2.
This year, the theme of Dhanvantari Diwas is ‘Primitive preventive and curative health activities for the elderly people’.
Rana said the Ayush department would organise special camps in all Ayurvedic health institutions of the district in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development and Education from October 31 to November 2.
She said Yoga camps were organised on Sunday morning on the first day of the campaign, whereas medical check-up camps would be held on November 1st and health awareness camps on November 2.
She said a free medical camp was being organised for the elderly and various sorts of laboratory tests, ECG and medicines will also be distributed free of cost to them besides giving them free medicines.
