Bhubaneswar: In view of the rise in cases of Covid-19 in Bhubaneswar, Mayor Sulochana Das on Saturday warned the denizens of imposing fines for not wearing masks. “Presently people are being advised to wear masks, but if they are not heeding the advice, we will be forced to take strong steps and impose fines,” said Das. She said that the rise in Covid-19 cases is a matter of concern but the situation can be brought under control with the cooperation of all. While warning of imposing fines for not wearing masks, she also urged people to maintain social distance and avoid gatherings to check the spread of Covid-19.
