Bhubaneswar: Marking the dawn of new era in rural development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday launched the State Government’sambitious Ama Odisha NabinOdisha scheme in Balangir and Balasore districts.The Ama Odisha Nabin
Odisha programme aims to strengthen the infrastructure for building a new Odisha, a strongOdisha with the focus ondevelopment of each village.Under the programme, Rs 50lakh will be sanctioned to eachpanchayat.Eight constituencies ofBalasore district – Remuna,
Bhograi, Jaleswar, Balasore,Simulia, Basta, Soro and Nilgirihave received Rs 178 crore for4465 developmental projects in356 GPs of 12 blocks. In Balangirdistrict, five constituencies, suchas Balangir, Titlagarh, Patnagarh,Kantabanji and Loisingha havebeen sanctioned with Rs 158.50crore for 3911 projects in 317GPs of 14 blocks.In this programme, the basicfoundation of Odisha’s culturewill be improved by spreadingJagannath culture in every village,and digital infrastructure will alsobe developed. This will be thebasic foundation for building anambitious Odisha.Speaking on the occasion, theChief Minister said that thespread of culture andimprovement of moderninfrastructure will take ourvillages to the pinnacle ofdevelopment. Odisha will spread its wingsfurther and reach new heights andwe will build New Odisha, NabinOdisha.The CM further said that
development of all villages is ourgoal. There will be guarantee ofdevelopment for everyone in thevillage. Everyone in the village will
be guaranteed education andhealth. Culture will be protectedand modernity will be developedin villages. The developed village
will be the identity of modernOdisha. Odisha is the land ofLord Jagannath. Universal love,peace, goodwill, equality and
service are the message ofJagannath culture. Irrespective ofcaste, religion, and community,it has made everyone its own.The ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’scheme will preserve Jagannathculture in every village. Everyplace of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be preserved. The Chief Minister saidthat the preservation and protection of these cultural and heritagesites is essential for future generations. The development of digitalinfrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of this scheme. Internetconnection will be available in the village. There will be science parks,skill development centres, work hubs, and banking facilities. The
primary schools of the village will also be involved in this program. Itwill bring immense opportunities to our youth, mothers, farmers and
students and will further enhance Odisha’s identity as a modern, strong,progressive and culturally aware state. Participating in the today’s
programme, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian said that thetransformation programme has created enthusiasm among the people.Pandian said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to bring transformationin all villages through Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme. Ourtransformation will be a model for other states, he said while adding thatall the work in the village will be carried out in a timely and transparentmanner. Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Minister Aswini Patra, MinisterNiranjan Pujari, Minister Tukuni Sahu, MLA Ananta Das, MLANityananda Sahoo, MLA Swarup Kumar Das, MLA Jyoti PrakashPanigarahi, MLA Saroj Meher along with Zilla President, Members,Block Chairman and Sarpanches were present in this programme.
