Bhubaneswar: The development of the individual must be the basis of nation-building. The development process needs to be applied to inclusive development. India is on the path to rapid progress and a conducive environment for development has already been in place, said Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal.
Inaugurating the book “Turn Around India 2020” written by R.P. Gupta, Governor Prof. Lal said that the global competitive situation has created many challenges. India has the strength and capability to turn challenges into opportunities. An economic revolution has also taken place in Odisha through Mission Shakti. The Governor said that the economy of Odisha would be further strengthened if the traditional products of Odisha could be presented in the right earnest.
The Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Dr. Suryanarayana Patra assessed the encouraging growth of the post-independence Indian economy and outlined the progress of Odisha.
The author of the book, R.P. Gupta gave a detailed account of the book and called for strong and far-sighted measures in various areas for the growth of the economy. He also emphasized on team spirit and the ease of doing business. The book’s editor Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda briefly highlighted on the various topics included in the book.Many scholars, intellectuals attended the book release ceremony at Raj Bhawan. Akshaya Kumar Sahoo a senior journalist was the master of ceremony and Ajay Agarwal proposed the vote of thanks.
