Paralakhemundi : Under Adava police limits of Muthaguda village under Guluba panchayat, father & son, named Loka (57)& Anuja Dalbehera)(22)respectively killed at nearby forest.Led by SDPO RUdayagiri Dilip Kumar Nayak,Adava police squad joined on investigation.
On Sunday, deceased’s daughter Ludia Gamango exposed some names & given written complain at Adava police station. Accordingly Anand Chandra Patra, IIC Adava reached at Mutha village with detail investigations he arrested 12 persons
They are Jirmaya Raika (42), Junesh Raita(35), Setha Raika(32), Jasuya Gamango(30), Abhimanyu Raika(34), Mikhael Gamango(50), Somnath Gamango(26), Kora Raita(53), Sanjay Gamango(21), Junesh Gamango (60) & Benjamin Gamangi(30).
Deceased persons used to spread Superstitious belief & were giving herbal medicines for snake bites & fever as a result 2 to 3 persons died. For which villagers angered & called a meeting on 12th June night. Those deceaseds were warned too. On Saturday a small ritual prayer done to sabotage from such witch affect. There itself both father & son surrendered their mistakes & begged apology.
Despite all such clearance, to take revenge villagers united together & vehemently attacked father-son duo by striking out their necks. All 12 convicted tested at CHC Mohana, where one person detected positive.
That infected sent to Paralakhemundi as per covid-19 guidelines & rest forwarded to court. SDPO Nayak illustrated details on press meet. To take severe action against those culprits, daughter of deceased requested police.
