Bhubaneswar : Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid the foundation stone for Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) and PSA Plant in eight districts– Bargarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Rayagada and Malkangiri– through video conferencing.
The CM also inaugurated a 12-beded neonatal centre at Berhampur City Hospital, a dialysis unit in Bhanjanagar, a new primary health center in Kukudakhandi block and a new community health centre in Digapahandi block.
The Chief Minister thanked the doctors, health workers and other Covid warriors and said “The situation in some coastal districts remained unstable despite the improvement in the second wave.
Similarly, experts have differing views on the third wave. In addition, Delta plus variants have been found in some states.” Further the Chief Minister said that more than one crore doses have been vaccinated so far.
He said the state government had recently announced Rs 1690 crore package for the poor and farmers.
