Naveen Launches ‘Kalas Yatra’ on ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Programme

Bhubaneswar: ChiefMinister Naveen Patnaik todaylaunched the ‘Kalas Yatra’ on theoccasion of the statewide ‘Meri
Maati Mera Desh’ programme.The Kalas Yatra will start itsjourney to New Delhi fromTomorrow.On the holy soil collected fromall panchayats of the country andstate, an Amrit Batika will beestablished in New Delhi.On the occasion, the ChiefMinister said that today’s Indiais the contribution of our martyrsand freedom fighters. They willforever be remembered. Payinghomage to countless martyrs andfreedom fighters of the country,the Chief Minister said thatOdisha is a holy land.”Many brave hearts have beenmartyred for the freedom and the
glory of the motherland. The’Kalas Yatra’ will inspire us all towork for the unity and integrityof the country,” he added.Patnaik also thanked the PrimeMinister for thinking about agreat event. He said that the’Amrit Batika’ to be built in NewDelhi would be considered a placeof pilgrimage for every Indian.The CM said that the AmritBatika will awaken patriotism inevery Indian and show futuregenerations the value of thesacrifice of the fighters.The Chief Minister thanked allwho participated in ‘Meri MaatiMera Desh’ program. PanchayatiRaj, Information and PublicRelations Minister PradeepAmat said that the stategovernment has taken up manyprograms to pay tribute to thebrave hearts under the directionof the Chief Minister.Tourism Minister AshwiniPatra said that the programmewill inspire all to work for thestate and country.’Vande Utkal Janani’ wasplayed at the beginning whileNational Anthem was played atthe end of the programme. A shortfilm on Mahatma Gandhi was also played. 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V.K. Pandian,Development Commissioner Anu Garg and other senior officialswere present on the occasion.Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Odia Language,Literature & Culture Department, Satyabrata Sahu gave the welcomeaddress and highlighted the program. Jyoti Ranjan Das, PanchayatirajSpecial Project Director, gave the vote of thanks.
