Khordha: Residents of Bodapokharia Grampanchayat under Tangi Block in Khordha Assembly Constituency showed unusual unity and elected Candidates uncontested for the three-tier panchayat elections. Residents in this panchayat have so much unity among them that they did not want to strains their relationships for the sake of elections despite the fact that the region in plagued by a host of problems. Come what may we will not strains out ties, said a villager.
The panchayat selected all the candidates for the post of 14 ward members as well as sarpanch and samiti member on consensus. Single candidates filed nomination for all 14 ward members.
