Keonjhar: After a series of accidents, traffic problems and law and order situation arise in NH49, that going through the
Keonjhar town, opening of bypass (NH49) road outside the town area on monday has provide relief to the people of Keonjhar town. According to the sources taking into the heavy traffic problem and law and order situation due to plying of huge numbers of line (goods) trucks, mineral loaded trucks, treller on Mumbai- Kolkota (NH49) road, the bypass road stretching about 12 kms from Jharbelda to Judiaghat has been constructed. But due to delay in construction of connective road from NH20 to NH49 near Judia ghat, by the ARSS construction company the road was lying unused. But after two continuous deaths due to road accidents in Keonjhar town, the administration has taken initiative to use the bypass road to avoid trucks movement in the town. The vehicles will go on a bypass road from Jharbelda to Dhrupada, where it touches NH 20. From Dhrupada (Baliaguda), they will go on NH20 to the old town. From the old town they will touch NH49 near Fire station (Judia ghat) on DMF road, sources said.
The truck will go through this road till a connective road near Judia ghat is constructed, sources added.
The security personnel of Mante Carlo Construction Company were engaged near Judiaghat (fire station office), Drupada and Jharbelda on NH49 to guide smooth movement of the trucks on newly constructed road. After the
opening of the bypass road, Keonjhar people got relief and gave thanks to the administration for its immediate initiative.
