Aahwan Combines organise district level Volleyball Tourney

Paradip: Sports is a major contributor to economic and social development. Its role is well recognized by governments, since its onset. The COVID-19 pandemic has spread in the world. Social and physical distancing measures, lockdowns businesses, schools and overall social life, which have become commonplace to curtail the spread of the disease. And due to this, have also disrupted many regular aspects of life, including sports and physical activities. Realising the situation and with a intention to encouraged the youths, Aahwan Combines, the leading social organisation of
Paradip was organised a two days volleyball tournament on January 15 & 16 at Handia village near to Paradip. The event was cosponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) of Government of India, Jagatsinghpur district.
Eight volleyball teams from different parts of the Jagatsinghpur district were participated in the tournament. The winner,runner-up and best two players were been awarded the trophies with cash prizes. The tournament was conducted by two national level referees Biswajit Parida and Satyajit Behera. On the concluding day, Nikhil
Kokula, district youth officer and Pabitra Mohan Subudhi, Coordinator, NYKS, Jagatsinghpur district were joined as the chief guest and guest of honour accordingly and distributed the trophies and prizes. The event was presided over by Sagar Kumar Biswal, president, Pravash Chandra Swain, secretary, Aahwan Combines and coordinated by all members.
