Koraput: As directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary to CM VK Pandian today visited Narayanpatna Block and r e v i e w e d v a r i o u s developmental activities in the area. He first visited the famous Jagannath Mandir there and spoke to the priests of the temple and locals. He assured them to take up the development of the shrine for the benefit of devotees. He asked the District administration to submit a master plan for renovation of
the temple and adjoining areas. He then visited the site of the Jhanjhavati Dam and spoke t o M i n o r I r r i g a t i o n Department officials and asked them to expedite the tender process. He advised the Land Acquisition Officer to take up land acquisition with immediate effect. He said that the dam and the c o n s e q u e n t irri g a ti o n programs will have life changing impact for the people of Bandhugan and Narayanapatna. The socioeconomic landscape of the area will be transformed, he said. He then visited SSD School at Dandabadi and Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya at Pachingi and interacted with the students and teachers. He enquired about facilities available f o r t h e m . H e t h e n inspected the 5T works at OAV and inspired the students to aim big in life. He assured them of full s u p p o r t f r o m t h e government. Sports Secretary Vineel Krishna and District Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar among others were present during the visit.
