5T Chairman Reviews Development of MKCG Medical College

Berhampur: 5T Initiatives and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian, who is on a two day visit to Ganjam district, made an early morning review of various developmental works. Pandian’s first visit was to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur where he took stock of the various infrastructure works being undertaken under the 5T Initiatives. He also interacted with the authorities and students of the Medical College and discussed about their issues. During his interaction, he assured them that MKCG will be developed into the best healthcare and medical education institution and all required facilities for the patients will be made available. Nobody will be required to go outside for treatment, he said. He also called upon the students and authorities to maintain discipline, peace and learning environment inside the campus. After reviewing the works at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Kartik Pandian held an elaborate review of the works related to the Ring Road at Kusumi. On his arrival at Kusumi, the 5T Chairman was accorded a warm welcome by the local people. Locals showered flowers on the 5T Chairman when he was interacting with them regarding the various developmental works. The 5T Chairman reviewed the works of the Ring Road and interacted with the senior officials present. Addressing the people, Kartik Pandian said that the work on the Ring Road project has already started. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 225 crore for this purpose. The target is to complete the work within two years, but he directed the officials to expedite the work and complete the road within oneand-a-half years. With the construction of this road, the traffic problem will be done away with and the area will develop bringing employment to the local people. He also said that the Government land near the Ring Road will be identified and industrial parks will be set up bringing prosperity to the local economy.
