New Delhi : Union Minister of Labour and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Monday launched Independent India’s first All India Domestic Workers Survey.
After launching the survey digitally, the Union Minister said the Centre wants to reach out to each and every person in the country and that the government is making all its policies and schemes for the benefit of common man.
Minister of State Rameshwar Teli, Secretary Sunil Barthwal and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The survey will cover 742 districts of all states and Union Territories of the country. It will also cover the working force of rural and urban areas.
Yadav said the survey will help the government know the number of domestic workers and their condition in the country. The survey will also give information about the workers’ categories and wages. More than 1.5 lakh families will be covered in this survey.
