Paralakhemundi : A police van loaded with teak wood pieces seized by forest department staff.
As per information received from 3rd Battalion head quarter a van(OD05AK 5733)filled with teak wood pieces was about to transport towards Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile by the instruction of DFO Sangramkesari Behera, at forest gate department staff led by ACF Gouri Prasad Rath cordoned that vehicle & seized those wooden pieces.
4 staff of 3rd Batallion along with an SI taken to police custody. It is learned that some big bosses of police department behind such smuggling. Detail enquiry will bring truth.
