Stalin visits Govt school, Mohalla Clinic in Delhi

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday took a tour of a school and a Mohalla Clinic run by the Delhi government along with his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal, who later said that this was one of the best ways for every state to learn from another. On a three-day visit to the capital, Stalin first went to the Rajkiya Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in West Vinod Nagar and interacted with the Principal, teachers and students in a bid to learn first hand how the once badly run government schools have made a revolutionary U-turn in recent years, earning widespread praise. Accompanying Stalin and Kejriwal were Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the man who has overseen the transformation of government schools in the city. Stalin, who on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, also visited in the company of Kejriwal a Mohalla Clinic — another widely-hailed success story of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Stalin said his government would also be starting modern schools in Tamil Nadu and invited Kejriwal to an inauguration ceremony. Kejriwal urged the media not to give a political colour to the visit by Stalin, who is aligned in his state with the Congress, the AAP’s political foe. “This is how states should function,” the Delhi Chief Minister said. “Every state should learn the good points of another. This is the way the country will progress.”
