Bhubaneswar : Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today urged Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to constitute Covid Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) comprising of leaders of all political parties at village and ward level to fight corona pandemic.
Mr Pradhan requested his Twitter page after discussing with Mr Patnaik about the steps taken by the Union government to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
The Union Minister in his tweet said “coming 15 days is challenging” and requested the Chief Minister to involve eminent persons of the society, leaders of all political parties and volunteers in the fight against Covid 19 at the grass-root level.
He said CCMC could be constituted in all villages and ward levels involving political leaders of all political parties for efficient management of Covid 19.
Mr Pradhan said the government of India is working with a ‘whole government approach and is doing everything possible to respond and fight back better.
“ Working together with synergistic efforts, both Odisha and India will combat and win this fight against the pandemic. Together, we shall prevail”, he remarked.
Mr Pradhan said during the discussion, the Chief Minister apprised him about how vaccines could be made available to the state.
The Union Minister said he had briefed the Chief Minister about his discussion with Union Minister for Health Dr Harsha Vardhan and Mr M Mandivya on extending all possible support to Odisha, including facilitating the smooth supply of Covid 19 vaccine doses, Rapid testing kits, Remdesivir, and other critical drugs.
