Bhubaneswar: With the detection of another active COVID JN.1 patient in Odisha on Tuesday the count has gone up to 3 in one week. According to the state Health Department, all three patients are currently undergoing treatment and they are in stable health condition. While one patient succumbed to COVID in Kerala on Monday, 628 new cases were detected in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients to 4,054. Goa has reported the highest number of COVID patients (34), followed by Maharashtra (9), Karnataka (8), Kerala (6), Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal each with four cases and two in Telangana. Meanwhile, the Odisha Health Department has advised elderly people with comorbidities to wear masks to avoid being infected by the virus. In addition, they have also been advised to avoid going to crowded places.
