Bhubaneswar : As many as 565 people including 63 in the age group of 0 to 18 tested covid positive in Odisha during the last 24 hours taking the total number of people infected by Corona virus virus to 10,25,874.
State Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the 565 new Corona virus cases while 328 were from quarntine centres and 237 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 256 new cases, the highest in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 61.
Jaipur and Balasore 28 each, Mayurbhanja 26 and Jagatsinghpur 20.
The state also reported five fatalities during the last 24 hours. While two casualties were reported from Khordha district Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Bhadrak reported one death each.
With this the total number of deaths due to covid surged to 8192. The state has now 5513 active cases.
