Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 524 new Covid 19 positive cases including 75 in the age group of 0 to 18 and four fatalities during the last 24 hrs.
With the report of new cases the total covid positive cases in the state surged to 10,30,518. The number of active cases in the state now stands at 5111.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said out of the total 524 new cases while 306 cases were reported from quarantine centres 218 were local contact cases.
Khordha district reported 250 new covid cases , the highest in the state during the last 24 hours followed by Cuttack 75, Mayurbhanja 22 and Balasore 20.
The total fatalities in the state due to covid surged to 8238 with the report of four new deaths in the last 24 hours.
Sundergarha, Nayagarha, Kandhamal and Cuttack reported one death each.
During the last 24 hours 522 covid patients have been recovered from the infection taking the total recoveries in the state to 10,17,116.
