Odisha registers 195 new cases and two deaths during the past 24 hours

Bhubaneswar : Odisha reported 195 fresh Covid Positive cases and two deaths in the past 24 hours taking the total cumulative covid positive cases in the state to 10,50,955.

Health and Family Welfare Department sources said the 195 new infections included 24 cases in the age group of 0 to 18 years.

Out of the 195 new cases while 115 were reported from quarantine centres 80 were local contact cases. The state has now 2071 active cases.

Khordha district reported 99 cases, the highest in the state during the past 24 hours followed by Mayurbhanja 13, Cuttack and Sundergarh 11 each.

During the period two covid deaths—one each from Kendrapara and Khordha was reported taking the total cumulative fatalities in the state to 8428.

As many as 264 covid patients were cured of the virus yesterday taking the total recoveries in the state to 10,40,403.
