Newspapers will Continue to Influence Public Opinion

Bhubaneswar: Despite the onslaught of other media, print media will continue to influence public opinion. Journalists should prioritize people’s rights and problems. This was the major emphasis in Dumani Khabar’s fifth foundation day celebrations. The annual function was held at Geeta Govinda Sadan. Speakers from various walks of life lauded the Dumani management’s efforts for publishing two newspapers and a TV channel. The speakers included former MP and BJD leader Prasanna Patasani, senior journalist Rabi Das,former spokesman of BJP Sajjan Sharma,Advocate of Odisha High Court Biswanath Patnaik,Vice-president of Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Manmath Nath Satpathy,editor of Pratidin Sudhir Kumar Panda and senior journalist Bhaskar Parichha.Bhawanipatna based social worker Dr Sivaram Nayak was felicitated on the occasion.Editor of Dumani Media and noted social worker Akshaya Kumar Patnaik said journalism is a decent profession despite many challenges. Assuring the reporters of support, he said that the management would be available to them throughout their reporting assignment. But it is more critical to be standing on one’s own and truthful. General Manager PL Nanda proposed a vote of thanks.
