The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Saturday condemned the attack on the residence of their party chief Sharad Pawar and held protests in front of the Gandhi Statue at Shahganj locality in old city here. The protesters demanded stern action against those involved in the violence and those who provoked them. They alleged the BJP leaders supported the attackers and also blamed advocate Gunaratne Sadavarte, who is fighting the case on behalf of the striking employees.
