Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced assistance for small, marginal and landless farmers of Puri district Under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme for the 2021-22 Rabi crop.
As per the announcement as many as 1,65,131 small and marginal farmers of Puri district would get Rs 33.03 crore assistance under the KALIA scheme at the rate of Rs 2,000 per farmer.
Mr Patnaik said the money would be directly deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers.
Earlier on September 11 last, the Chief Minister had distributed Rs 742.58 crore KALIA assistance to 37,12,941 farmers of the state.
The KALIA scheme was launched by the Government with an objective to accelerate agricultural prosperity and reduce poverty in the state .
