Bhubaneswar : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated a 3.4 KM long bridge, the longest bridge in the state over river Mahanadi at Badamba Gopinath in Cuttack district built at a cost of Rs 111 crore.
Patnaik had had laid the foundation stone for the T- bridge way back in 2014.The bridge is called T Setu as it resembles the English letter T.
The bridge connects Badamba Narasinghpur with Banki Baideswar as well as the Singhanath Mandir in the river.
The bridge reduces the distance from Banki Baideswar to Badamba by 45 KM.
More than five lakh people would be benefited by the inauguration of the bridge which would also help in the development of agriculture, trade and tourism in the area.
Among others Works Minister Prafulla Mallik, Badamba MLA Debi Prasad Mishra and Banki MLA Debi Ranjan Tripathi were present on the occasion.
