Memorial service held in Paradip of late Ramesh Samantaray

Paradip: A memorial meeting was organized by BJD party of Paradip unit at Biju Patnaik Memorial Trust on Friday to pay homage to the renowned senior politician, former first Paradip municipality chairperson and legislative candidate Ramesh Chandra Samantray by laying a wreath at his portrait. The memorial meeting was officiated by Paradip BJD president Basanta Kumar Biswal. Among others, BJD leader Kumarbar Nayak, Ullash Biswal,Jyotikant Parida, Shankar Prasad Rout,Sabita Mohapatra, Sushil Mohapatra, Alok Kumar Mohapatra, Pravati Nayak, Chapala Swain and many dignitaries of Paradip were present and prayed for the departed soul rest-in-peace.
Similarly, a tribute and memorial meeting for late Samantaraya was organized by Paradip Port Banika Sangha at the office premises on Saturday. The memorial meeting was presided over by Banika Sangha president, prominent labor union and BJD leader Santosh Kumar Pattnaik. On the occasion, late Samantaraya offered a twominute silent prayer for the wellbeing of his soul. The event was attended by Banika Sangha senior officials Anadi Charan Parida, Pramod Mohapatra, Ayaskant Samal, Yudhistira Lenka, Suryamani Sahu, Manas Kumar Biswal, Prabodh Kumar Das, Jibanananda Mohanty, Golekh Sahoo, Raj Kishor Bal. The trade and market were closed for two hours in the morning in honor of the former Banika Sangha advisor late Ramesh Samantaray.
