Bhubaneswar: The Railway Indoor Stadium hosted IA&AD East Zone Badminton Championship 2024, where top badminton talents from across the region showcased their skills in an exhilarating competition. In the Men’s Singles category, G. Bapinder of AG, West Bengal emerged victorious, clinching the Gold medal by defeating Bidya Sagar Salam of AG, Manipur in a commanding straight-sets victory. Meanwhile, in the Women’s Singles division, Dipali Gupta of AG, Bihar stood tall as the champion, with P. Nishita Varma of DGA, Eastern Railway, Kolkata finishing as the deserving runner-up. AG West Bengal asserted its dominance by securing the Men’s group championship, while AG, Odisha showcased commendable performance, earning the runners-up position in the Men’s group category.
