Bhubaneswar : The fire situation in the State is under control as of now and all out efforts are being undertaken in the field to mitigate the forest fire situation in State, Head of Task Force on Forest Fire, Sandeep Tripathi said today.
All field staffs are engaged along with fire squads, ODRAF & In support of PRIs,VSS and local communities.
Despite sporadic rains the high temperature and less humidity conditions are continuing in the State as of now which are conducive to fire proliferation, added Tripathi.
The large fires, particular in hot spots and vulnerable areas, are being doused to on priority and the field staffs are on full alert & vigil to prevent any proliferation of fire.
“On the occasion of World Forestry Day, awareness amongst masses to prevent fire has been taken up in a big way today. The prevailing fire situation in State is being constantly monitored & reviewed to keep fire situation in the State under control,” said Tripathi.
