Ganja Seized, 2 Arrested

Paralakhemundi: Yesterday at about 9.30 AM while R. Udayagiri police returning from patrolling from Udayaguda on the river side closed to main road, found one Indica Car OR02AT 8724 and one Apache Motorcycle OD32C8593 was standing suspiciously. The driver and another person were sitting inside the Car. On being asked the reason
of halt, both the persons became fumbled out of fear. On checking the dikki of the Car, found two Airbags out of which acute ganja smell coming out. On being asked they disclosed their names as Dauda Raita,22 yrs. S/o Laban
Raita and Sanu Ananda (28) s/o Udi Ananda both of Vill. Tandiguda PS. R.UDAYAGIRI DIST. GAJAPATI. They
admitted their guilt and stated that they are the business parteners and are transporting to Gunupur side collecting the Ganja from local area.Total 27 KGs 610 gms with bags of Ganja, Two Nos.of Vivo and Redme mobile Phones, Voter
I.Card,Adhar Card, Pan Card, SBI Master Card, Indica Car, Motorcycle were seized from their possession in presence of
E.M. Narayan Behera, OAS Tahasildar, R. Udayagiri and witnesses.Both the accused persons were arrested and will be
forwarded to the court. Regd.PS Case No.10 dtd. 17.01.2022 u/s 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 NDPS Act and directed SI Mukesh Lakra to take up the investigation. Investigation is in progress. With regards IIC R. Udayagiri PS.
