Four Injured in Wild BoarAttack

Keonjhar: Four person  were sustained injury after a wild boar attack in mining dominated Jajang Pacheri sahi under Bamebari section of Champua range. The injured Mansingh munda Bhatta Majhi, Kabita Sethy and her four years old son were admitted in private company hospital. The incident was took place on Wednesday at about 11 am. According to the sources the wild boar from nearby forest enter to the human habitations and attack the four years old baby after entering in to the house and injured.

After hearing cry, Kabita tried to save her baby and sustained injury. When she shouted villagers rushed to the spot and tried to drive the boar outside the village. The boar attack the villagers and injured other two. After hearing about the incident, forest officials rushed to the spot. They shifted the injured to the hospital. Later in the afternoon, the boar tried to attack the forest officials, and media persons taking photo report. Later the forest officials fire at the boar to tranqulise.

Again when the boar tried to attack, the forest officials caught the boar with a net. Range officer, Champua Akshaya Chhatria said ” four persons injured and admitted in the hospital. The boar was tranquilize. Later the boar died. We are investigating the cause of death.” Due to rampant mining activities, and sound caused by blasting, movement of heavy vehicles, the wild animals becoming disturbed and ran away from forest to human habitations, local people said.
