Exams part of our life, don’t panic: PM

Dumani mail , 1/4 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that examinations are an integral part of our lives and called upon the students to not to create an atmosphere of panic as they have gone through it for several times earlier. “You are not giving exams for the first time. Don’t create an atmosphere of panic. You have given exams for several times earlier and became ‘exam-proof’. You have already sailed the sea why fear drowning near the shore,” Modi said while responding to a student’s query at the 5th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ here. The PM advised the students to appear for exams in a festive mood without taking any stress. “You should have faith in yourself what you have learnt. You target should be maximum outcome. Make an habit of ‘replay’. Discuss with your friends what you have learnt in the class. It will help to imbibe knowledge.” Emphasizing the importance of self analysis, Modi said: “Self analysis is very much important. Find out what demotivates you and what motivates you. It will help you to identify your strength. “Never expect sympathy. You should face all the challenges with confidence and overcome it,” he said. Mentioning about the different aspects of ‘online’ and ‘offline’ education, he said: “Take ‘online’ education as an opportunity as you can acquire knowledge and make it as your base and then implement it ‘offline’.” Calling upon the students to develop the habit of competition among themselves, Modi said: “If we don’t evolve ourselves, then we will be lacking behind. “There is no injection or formula for motivation. Instead, discover yourself better and find out what makes you happy and work on that.” Taking the opportunity, the Prime Minister also appealed to the parents and teachers to not to load their dreams and aspirations on the children, and identify their potential. “Every child has some special talent. Parents and teachers should not load their dreams and aspirations on them. Identify the strength of your child and help to hone it.” Citing that is wrong to study only for clearing exams, the Prime Minister said: “One should aim to master the subject rather than for clearing exams.” Asked how society can contribute to uplift rural girls, Modi said the situation had changed a lot over the years from the time when the education of girls was ignored. He stressed that no society can improve without ensuring proper education of the girls.
