Bhubaneswar: The fourth foundation day of the Odia daily Dumani Khabar was held at Jaydev Bhavan. MLA Sura Routrai, former MP Prasanna Patshani, MLA Anant Narayan Jena, senior journalists Rabi Das, Akshay Kumar Sahoo and Bhaskar Parichha were guests of honor. Speakers highlighted the importance of print news even in the age of a changing media landscape. Akshay Kumar Patnaik, editor of the newspaper spoke about the growth and future plans of the paper. He said that Dumani Khabar believes in the impartiality of news. He laid out the plans for the future and said Dumani media will continue to highlight the problems of common people. On this occasion, news reporters from different places and voluntary organisations were felicitated. The anniversary issue of Dumani Khabar was unveiled. General manager Padma Lochan Nanda proposed a vote of thanks.
