Parlakhemundi : 3rd OSAP Batallion police staff involved on Teak smuggling racket & forwarded to court to 4 staff including an Inspector.
Meanwhile information brewed for which ADG RPChobe reached at Paralakhemundi & started investigations on scandal.
At district police head quarter Shyamsundar Kalinga Ranger of Devagiri range,Sibaram Sabat Forest Ranger, Amruta Jena, Laxmidhar Paik, KGirishkumar &Ch.Nageswarrao with 6 officials interrogated by him.
ADG not disclosed on ground roots. After their bail the content behind smuggling will be detail focussed.
On 3rd November such incident occurred where transportation of smuggling Teak wood slabs seized at forest gate while going by police van(OR05AJ5733) towards Bhubaneswar.
Total measurement of 33.88 cft wood was about to transport. Those staff surrendered on such miscreants & sent to Paralakhemundi sub-jail, said SP Jayram Satpathy.
He added ADG reached Paralakhemundi to enquiry over the incident.
