Keonjhar: Block Development Officer, Champua Smruti Ranjan Sahu went to Uchbali Panchayat and meet helpless widow 71 years old Bijili Karua of Padmapur village Khamanagoda Sahi. Bijili was deprived from all government benefits and was begging in villages. After witness her and learn about her difficulties, Patna MLA’s Champua Block Representative Bhabagrahi Mahanta immediately contacted Champua BDO and informed him about it.
     On receiving the information, BDO rushed to her house and met her। The BDO discussed with her and promised that he would provide her with government facilities and put a smile on the old man’s face, creating a shining example of service to the poor and helpless. According to the sources he has lost her husband Kaira Karua 11 years back and has become destitute. She does not have a single child or a house to live in. She does not get free rice or pension and other allowance from the government under poverty elevation scheme. Hence she goes door to door begging to meet her hunger, sources said. Now the block administration has taken up the task to alleviate his sorrow. The administration ordered to provide Aadhaar card and voter card for Bijili.
      BDO Smruti Ranjan Sahu said that after getting the Aadhaar card, Bijli will be provided with ration card, other allowance and house under the PMAY svheme.On this initiative the BDO has been praised the work of Bhabagrahi Mahanta, MLA’s representative for Champua block who visiting various villages of the block area and giving priority to solving the personal and collective problems of the people. After this incident local people of that area appreaciated the work of Bhabagrahi Mahanta, Patna MLA’s representative.
     Executive Officer of Unchabali Panchayat Swagatika Prusti, Assistant Executive Engineer Sabyasachi Nayak, Assistant Engineer Sudarshan Hansda were visited the Village and short out the problems.
