Paradip: On the occasion of welcoming the new members, Paradip Port Workers Union (PPWU) organised a get-together and welcoming meeting at the union office premises in Paradip on Wednesday. 72 IOHP contractual workers of Paradip Port Trust (PPT) were joined to the union for a hope to fulfillment of their legitimate demands.
PPWU working president Anant Kumar Das, vice president Gunanidhi Choudhury, Asst.secretary Gurupad Mishra, treasurer Brijesh Kumar Lenka and general secretary Nrusingha Prasad Satpathy were welcomed to the newly joined members and assured to try for their best to fulfill their major demands .
It is noted, after sri Satpathy took over as the general secretary of PPWU, many permanent and contractual workers of PPT were found to be attracted to the union due to his organisational skills.
