Yellow Warning in Several Odisha Districts for 3 Days

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department  on Sunday issued a yellow warning for dense fog in several Odisha districts during the next three days. Shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places over the districts of Odisha with dense fog at one or two places in Angul, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Khurda, and Nayagarh. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in north interior Odisha and one or two places over the districts of north coastal and south interior Odisha. The chief amount of rainfall was recorded in Hindol , Kirmira , Tensa , Lephripara  Keonjhargarh Lahunipara , Banaigarh
Jhumpura, Jharsuguda , Gurundia , Rajgangpur , Tangarpali , Sharpada , Kutra Ullunda and Ghatagaon . The minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over in north interior Odisha and no large change elsewhere in Odisha. They were appreciably below normal at one or two places, markedly above normal at a few places over the districts of
interior Odisha, appreciably above normal at a few places in Odisha, above normal at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, and at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha and normal elsewhere in Odisha. The highest maximum
temperature of 32.3°C was recorded at Malkangiri and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5°C was recorded at Sundargarh in the plains of Odisha. “It has been predicted that one or two places of some districts will witness light rain in the coming six days.
Similarly, a yellow warning has been issued for coastal and nearby districts as there is a likelihood of dense fog in the next three days,” said IMD Bhubaneswar scientist, Umashankar Das.
