Donghae : India’s clash against the hosts South Korea at the Women’s Hockey Asian Champions Trophy, which was scheduled to take place on December 8, has been cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns.
“Due to Covid concerns after yesterday’s routine testing, we are saddened to announce that our fixture against South Korea will not be taking place today,” Hockey India tweeted on Wednesday.
This is not the first instance when a match has been abandoned due to Covid-19 concerns.
The fixture against Malaysia, which was scheduled to take place on December 6, was also called off after one of the Malaysian players was found Covid-19 positive.
