Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the scheme has been expanded so that more children from farming families will get education. On the occasion of inaugurating the Agriculture Odisha 2024 which was started from Friday at Janata Maidan on the theme of celebrating the success of women in agriculture in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of the Government of Odisha and FIKI, he said that the contribution of women to the agriculture sector is remarkable. He encouraged the women of the state to take advantage of the opportunities in agriculture. On this occasion, the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Shri Ranendra Pratap Swaymen said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha has become a food surplus in the state in the last 22 years. has become In the budget of 1999-2000, only 700 crore rupees were allocated for agriculture. Now when the government is preparing a special agriculture budget, 24 thousand have allocated Rs. During this period, the amount of expenditure on agriculture sector in the budget has been increased from 4 percent to 10 percent. Odisha’s growth has consistently been higher than the national average due to higher spending. The share of women in agriculture is more than 60 percent. On this occasion in Focus, Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department Arvind Padhi said, “We aim to transform the agriculture sector in Odisha by truly empowering and empowering our women farmers.” Our department is always vigilant to respect and promote the participation of women in agriculture and to enhance their dignity. The scheme is being implemented among women farmers. He said that women have been involved in all areas from Mission Shakti to programs like Jalavibhajika. About 5,000 women working in agriculture, 2,000 women self-help group members, agri-entrepreneurs, agricultural experts and other partners are involved in this program. Various Departments of State Government, Central Government, ICAR 17 technical sessions will be held with the support of institutes, CGIAR institutes, private organizations, agriculturist seminars, seminars, farmer facility centers, experiential learning centers, agricultural machinery display, exhibition stalls on agricultural products, women farmers and women self help groups. Agriculture Odisha 2024 Experimental water sports, local farmer songs, stories, postcard exchange, farmer facility center and an experimental learning center will be established to make interesting quizzes and lectures.
