Vaccination coverage of 100 cr signifies true story of Atmanirbharta: Dr Krishna Ella

New Delhi : Hailing the government and health care workers’ efforts in achieving a significant milestone of vaccination coverage, Chairman & Managing Director Bharat Biotech, Dr Krishna Ella on Thursday said, reaching the one billion mark of COVID-19 vaccinations in just nine months is a remarkable achievement for India.

“Bharat Biotech is proud to have contributed to this historic landmark. This is a unified effort of the Government, vaccine manufacturers, healthcare workers and all the vaccinated citizens of India, making it a true success story of Atmanirbharta” Dr. Krishna Ella said in a statement.

India on Thursday crossed another significant milestone in its battle against the Coronavirus pandemic as it touched 100 crore Covid vaccination mark, with first dose to around 75 per cent of all eligible population and nearly 31 per cent of both the doses of the vaccine.

“We thank the PMO, MOH, NRA, ICMR, academic collaborators, industry partners, stakeholders, suppliers and employees for enabling us to maximize our efforts and deliver COVAXIN successfully to India’s vaccination program”, said Suchitra Ella, Joint Managing Director, Bharat Biotech.

CEO and Owner, of Serum Institute, Adar Poonawalla congratulated Prime Minister Modi and said, “My heartiest congratulations, Shri @narendramodi ji, as India crosses 1 billion doses of COVID vaccine inoculations today under your exemplary leadership.
