Now Ananya Panday questioned by NCB in Aryan case

Mumbai : Actress Ananya Panday on Thursday reached the office of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) here, along with her father actor Chunkey Panday, hours after an NCB team searched her Khar home in connection with the Cruise Drugs Bust case.

Ananya was summoned by the NCB as she is said to be a friend of Aryan Khan, who has been languishing in jail since his arrest on October 3.

According to sources, the actress is among the participants of the WhatsApp group chats linked to Shah Rukh Khan’s son.

In a bid to corroborate evidence involving the angle of an international drugs racket, the anti-drugs agency summoned Ananya for questioning in the case after fresh leads from one of the alleged accused.

The name of the actress was under the scanner for the past few days. Earlier, there were reports that Aryan’s WhatsApp chats included discussion on drugs with an upcoming actress.

However, it is yet to be confirmed if Ananya is in anyway connected to the drugs case, the source said. She was being questioned as she was Aryan’s friend hence assuming that she might be aware about his activities pertaining to drugs, it added.

Earlier in the day NCB teams searched Shah Rukh Khan’s house, Mannat, and collected evidence, according to sources.

NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede also issued a statement saying an NCB team visited Shah Rukh Khan’s residence to collect some documents related to Aryan Khan. He also said no raids were conducted at his residence ‘Mannat’.
