Mysuru : The University of Mysore celebrated its centennial, marking 100 years of excellence in research and education launched a Google cloud Centre for Excellence on Monday.
Vice Chancellor Prof G Hemanth Kumar said, “As we move forward, it is clearly visible that the global career landscape is changing, technology and data are reshaping our world and how we interact with one another; this explosion of information is opening new opportunities for study and application.”
In its initiative to transform the career support services provided to students, alumni of the University and its 220 affiliate colleges are equipping the students for jobs of the future or to start their own venture.
As a step towards this, University of Mysore has entered into a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to give its students a head start A Google Cloud Centre of Excellence will be established in the University to provide students with access to technology and services to learn more about Google Cloud.
The Google Cloud Computing Foundations curriculum introduces students to the breadth of cloud technology with concepts, hands-on labs, assessments, and a capstone project on topics ranging from cloud infrastructure, application development, big data, and machine learning.
