Temperature crosses 36-degree Celsius mark, Balangir hottest at 36.7 degree

Bhubaneswar,  : Odisha has started to experience early summer heat as the maximum temperature crossed the 36-degree Celsius mark in the State today with Balangir turning out to be the hottest place with 36.7 degrees. The evening bulletin
of the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Balangir reported 36.7 degree Celsius while Titlagarh
recorded 36 degrees. Likewise, Paralakhemundi sizzled at 35.8 degree Celsius,  Jharsuguda at 35.6 and Sambalpurwitnessed a temperature of 35.1 degree Celsius, the weather department said. Similarly, the temperature soared to 35 degree
Celsius while the State Capital City Bhubaneswar boiled at 34.9 degrees, it added. As per the IMD’s latest report, the people
of the Silver City of Cuttack saw a temperature of a 33 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, weatherman has predicted dense fog at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul and Dhenkanal at 8.30 AM of January 3. It has issued a Yellow Warning for the same. Likewise, the weather department forecasted dense fog at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Khurda and Ganjam from 8.30 AM of January 3 to 8.30 AM of January 4. While the weather
conditions are unlikely to change significantly, the MeT has warned of dense fog in at least 10 districts in Odisha during the next two mornings. A yellow warning for dense fog for 24 hours has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul and Dhenkanal.
