Students of Birla School of Communication visit Public Relations Department at ECoR

Bhubaneswar, :A group of enthusiastic media students engaged in an insightful learning
experience at the Public Relations Department of East Coast Railway (ECoR) at Rail Sadan, Bhubaneswar. The visit provided an opportunity to understand the intricate workings of public communication in one of India’s key transport sectors.During the visit, the students had an interactive session with Mr. Ashoka Kumar Mishra, Chief Public Relations Officer and Mr. Nihar Ranjan Mohanty, Senior Public Relations Officer, East Coast Railway. The discussions revolved around strategic communication, media
management, and the role of public relations in ensuring effective information dissemination. The officials shared their experiences, offering valuable insights into the
evolving landscape of railway communication. Adding to the enriching experience, the students also explored the Rail Museum, where they delved into the rich history and milestones of Indian Railways. The visit to the museum provided a deeper appreciation of the legacy and technological advancements that have shaped the nation’s railway
network over the decades. The group was accompanied by Dr. Gyanaranjan Mishra, Assistant Professor and Public Relations Officer, Birla Global University, who emphasized the importance of practical exposure in shaping students’ understanding of the professional world. This experiential learning initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices, reinforcing the significance of public relations in large-scale organizations like Indian Railways.
