Gangtok : Sikkim’s Minister for Agriculture, Lok Nath Sharma received Eco Agriculture Award Virtually from Dr Ashok Dalwai, Chairman, Task Force for doubling Income of Farmers cum Chief Executive Official National Rainfed Area Authority, on Friday.
A Seminar on Eco Agricultural Revolution was held by Agriculture Today Group ,the National Agriculture Magazine. Sikkim’s selection out of States & Union Territories, based on sustained focus on Eco Agricultural Revolution was appreciated by the Farmers, authorities led by Minister LN Sharma. Minister attended the technical session on Bio-Inputs & Agro Waste Management.
Prominent among others who attended the Award ceremony cum Seminar included ,Dr MJ Khan,Chairman Indian Chamber of Food & Agriculture, Dr S Anbalagan Chief Executive, Sikkim Organic Farmers Development Agency, Bharat Bhushan Tyagi Organic Farmer leader and Sanjay Nath Singh, Secretary General All India Farmers Association.
Its well known Sikkim is the first fully Organic State of India.
